Hi, I’m Madushka Harshana Athapaththu
IT Specialist · Founder · Traveler · Creator of GlassPad
I build software, fix the unfixable, and help people see the world. Founder of Zetova Journeys and Zetova Technologies — and the maker of GlassPad, a free word processor that lives in your browser.
From a hand-me-down PC to building my own world
Short version below — the full narrative lives on About.
The tech story
It started around 2010, when my grandfather gave me my first PC. No classes, no mentors — just curiosity. I taught myself everything from BIOS flashing and deep system troubleshooting to running every Linux distro I could download (Mint, Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora, CentOS…) and even Hackintosh builds. Today I hold Google IT Support Specialist and Google Cybersecurity certifications, and I work across web development, Python, ethical hacking, AI/LLM training, and network & system administration.
The travel story
Since 2018 I’ve worked in the travel industry, starting at an airline and mastering the GDS systems the industry runs on — Amadeus, Sabre, and Galileo. I’ve booked over 500 tickets, arranged visas for India, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, and designed custom tour packages. That experience grew into founding my own travel company, Zetova Journeys, alongside Zetova Technologies.

Colombo → Negombo → Japan & beyond
Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka
Grew up in Colombo and studied at Linfield International College in Arawwala.
First PC — the spark
A gift from my grandfather that changed everything. Gaming, tinkering, breaking, fixing — the self-taught journey began.
Moved to Negombo
The coastal city I still call home today.
Entered the travel industry
Started at an airline, learned the GDS systems inside out, and built a career in ticketing, visas, and tours.
Wings of my own
Traveled to Malaysia twice — 38 days of exploring — putting my own travel expertise to the test.
A year in Japan
Lived in Japan for a year — ramen, yakisoba, and building my own gaming PC along the way. Currently learning Japanese.
Founder & creator
Running Zetova Journeys and Zetova Technologies, shipping GlassPad to the world, and visiting Singapore in April.

The human side of the terminal
When I’m not debugging or booking flights, you’ll find me here.
Gaming since 2010
From IGI and GTA Vice City to 2,200+ hours of DOTA 2. Platinum trophies in Spider-Man Miles Morales and The Witcher 3 on PS5. Built my own PC in Japan (RTX 4070) — currently playing Black Myth Wukong, RDR2, Elden Ring, and Battlefield 6.
Photography & vlogging
I snap whatever catches my eye — street corners, food, skies — then cut and grade the footage in DaVinci, Premiere, or CapCut. I also vlog my travels on YouTube as wanderwithharshu.
Languages & learning
Three languages and counting — always learning, always curious.
VR & AR explorer
Owned a Meta Quest 2, now living in the future with VITURE Pro AR glasses — a personal cinema everywhere I go.
Food happiness
Japanese ramen and yakisoba hold a special place in my heart, alongside milk tea and a good slice of cheesecake.
Best of both worlds
MacBook Pro + iPad for work, a Windows RIG for gaming, local LLMs, and ComfyUI, OnePlus and Apple in my pockets. I live in the terminal across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Full gear list on Uses.
Sixteen years of respawns
From a hand-me-down PC running IGI to a self-built RTX 4070 rig in Japan — the gaming log, era by era.
The hand-me-down PC era
Where it all began — stealth missions, street races, and a keyboard that had seen better days.
The DOTA 2 years
2,200+ hours on Steam. Enough said — every one of them earned (or thrown, depending on the lane).
Trophy hunting on PlayStation 5
Story-game heaven — with Platinum trophies in Spider-Man Miles Morales and The Witcher 3 (plus both DLCs).
The RTX 4070 rig era
Self-assembled in Japan, upgraded to an ASUS RTX 4070 — modern AAA at full tilt.
Pocket battles
Clash of Clans for the long game, Mobile Legends Bang Bang for the ranked grind — two Legend skins earned (Alucard and Alpha).
